Halfway 2024 Elegoo has announced two successors in the Mars series. With this new release they used a lower resolution LCD screen in the Mars 5 (4K) vs. the Mars 5 Ultra (9K). The Elegoo Mars 5 (regular edition) has a build volume of 143,43 x 89,6 x 150 mm, with its 4K LCD screen this results in a pixel size of 35 microns. In this article you can find shrinkage optimization values in case you need to print very accurate dental models. If you have not purchased this printer yet, it is advised to go for the Mars 5 Ultra as the models will come out much better. Resin 3D-printing accurate dental models on the Elegoo Mars 5.
It is important to fill in all parameters precisely. especially the scaling ratio and the parameters below that. This will give you accurate dental models with resin 3D-printing. If these values are not set, models can deviate upto 0,2mm from the original file!
