Halfway 2024 Elegoo has announced two successors in the Mars series. The new Mars 5 and Mars 5 Ultra were announced. With previous printer releases Elegoo would make the Ultra a bit fancier, or slightly faster, mostly minor changes. With this new release they used a lower resolution LCD screen in the Mars 5 (4K) vs. the Mars 5 Ultra (9K). this is a bit odd as the Mars 3 used a 4K screen while the Mars 4 was already upgraded to a 9K screen. See the full printer comparison below. The Elegoo Mars 5 (regular edition) has a build volume of 143,43 x 89,6 x 150 mm, with its 4K LCD screen this results in a pixel size of 35 microns.
