Dentsply Sirona traces its roots to humble beginnings: DENTSPLY International was founded as Dentists’ Supply Company in 1899 in New York City, and the company that became Sirona Dental Systems was founded in 1877 in Erlangen, Germany. Through our transformative merger in 2016, Dentsply Sirona has grown to become the world’s largest manufacturer of professional dental products and technologies, with approximately 16,000 employees, operations in more than 40 countries worldwide, and a sales presence in more than 120 countries. Quite recently it began to mingle in the dental 3D-printing business, as one of the last dental companies active in this area. In this article you can find the technical specifications of the closed Densply primeprint dental resin 3D-printer and compatible resins.

Relatively late to the game, Densply Sirona released this closed system resin 3D-printed named the Primeprint to the dental offices and labs. With a Full HD, 385nm DLP projector it has similar specifications compared to the smaller RapidShape and Asiga 3D-printers.

The Densply Primeprint dental resin 3D-printing seems completely closed. From the documentation provided by Densply it seems that the printer only works with their own cardridges which are chipped with an RFID tag. same is for their post-processing unit. This strategy will help smoothen the workflow and creates a better environment for good results, but also limits users for experimenting or working with different and more affordable resins. Although Liqcreate resins work perfectly fine on 385nm DLP printer, with closed systems it is a different story. There is a big chance that you can’t run our resins on it as adjustments to the settings are not allowed by users.
